Food For Thought: Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Winston Churchill

Anyone who truly knows me, know how passionate I am about worship. It’s more than music (for me, it’s the message). #createdformore

Worship music stays on repeat in our home. My bass playing husband is always looking for and finding great songs to, “up his skill level” when playing.

Recently, he came across a song called, “You Say,” by Lauren Daigle He learned to play it within an hour (and those of you on instagram with me saw a small clip | proud wife moment). The message of the song…. simply;

“You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe (I), oh I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You (God) I find my worth, in You I find my identity, (ooh oh)”

I love this song (and it’s message). It communicates that our identity should be found in Christ alone (no matter how much shade the “nay sayers” try & send your way, find your worth/identity in Him). #FaithForward

I am a life-long learner, and am always looking for ways to “level up” so to speak! I take my personal development very seriously (spiritually, physically, mentally & emotionally). “Not perfect, just in process!” You’re either “rocking the boat” or “rowing the boat!” The choice is always yours.

One of the biggest life lessons I’ve learned in 2018, was on the “importance of being Intentional.”

What that means to me; I am purposeful in word and action. It means that I choose to live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. It means I am making thoughtful choices and actively engaging in this thing called life.

All month long (February 2019), we are going to delve deeper into that subject as it relates to; faith, family & fitness. None but Jesus is perfect. We have all fallen short (whether it has been in our faith, with our families or on our fitness journey). Like Winston Churchill said, “it’s the courage to continue that counts.” So, let’s continue!
