I am super excited about this month’s blog/VLOG series. It will focus on the “Changing Seasons of Life.” Someone once said, “The only thing that is constant is Change!” We may try to resist it, but it comes just the same. I have learned it’s benefit. #EmbracingChange

(Change) For me; It happen all of the sudden. At the tender age of 6, my oldest son became ill (in and out of hospitals for a period of about 6 months | the longest six months of my life). And for our family, that would be one of our biggest challenges.

At the time, we were a two-parent, two-income family. His illness meant one of us would need to give up our full-time job, and become more of a “full time” parent… And that job went to, “yours truly.”

It was a tough decision. You must understand, I simply adored that job, but our growing family, and it’s needs became my priority. #mommymoments We moms know, sacrifice is par for the course. The Lord brought healing to my son, and our growing family continued to grow. The Lord placed a great desire in my heart for my family, and I chose to yield my will to His (God). The road has not been easy.  Being a Full-Time mom, can be a thankless job at times, yet, very rewarding.

I have worked odd jobs here and there (seeing the Lord bless the fruit of my hands at every turn- especially with my focus being; to help | to make a difference). Without even realizing it, my dream became His (God). His desire became mine. #Purpose

A Word Of Encouragement:

“Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desire of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.…”  Psalm 37:3-5

Trusting The Lord, and committing our way to Him, will bring Peace & reveal Purpose! When I yielded, The Lord prompted me in my Spirt to began singing/writing again, and there my dream began to unfold (books, this blog, music projects, and more). #FollowingHisLead

Change (I’ve Found) is Good, and I am committed to embrace it whenever it comes. #YourPerspectiveIsKey

In general, when looking back, I realized that all the good things in my life, came as a result of changes. We may prefer to stay in our comfort zone, but I believe that once we get the courage and take the first step to change, our life will become much better.

Over the Next Few Weeks We Will Delve into some of the Benefits of Change. Here are a few of those benefits; #GoldenNuggets

  1. Personal Growth:  (You grow and learn new things every time something changes. You discover new insights about different aspects of your life. You learn lessons even from changes that did not lead you to where you wanted to be).
  2. Flexibility: (Frequent changes make you easily adapt to new situations, new environments, and new people. As a result you do not freak out when something unexpectedly shifts).
  3. Improvements (We all have things in our lives we’d like to improve—finances, job, house, etc. All of us know that nothing will  improve by itself. We need to do things differently to make that happen. Without change, there’d be no improvements).
  4. Life Values (From time to time changes make you re-evaluate your life and look at certain things from a different perspective. Depending on what the change is, it may also reinforce your life values.
  5. The Snowball Effect (Often we give up because we cannot accomplish the difficult task of making a huge and immediate change. That is when small changes become extremely valuable. One shift at a time, small changes will eventually lead you to the desired big one).
  6. Strength (Not all changes lead you to pleasant periods of life. Unfortunately we do not live in fairy tale and sad things happen, too. Overcoming the tough period will make you stronger).
  7. Progress (Changes trigger progress. Things move forward and develop because of the them).
  8. Opportunities (One never knows what each change may bring. When you turn from your usual path there will be plenty of different opportunities waiting for you. Changes will bring new choices for happiness and fulfillment).
  9. New Beginnings (Each change is a turning page. It is about closing one chapter and opening another one. Changes bring new beginnings and excitement to life).
  10. Remember the movie Stranger than Fiction? The main character Harold Crick does the same things in exactly same time for years. He leads a completely dull, extremely predictable, and uninteresting life. That is how your life would be without changes.

So next time you get the temptation to avoid or resist the change, aim instead to initiate the ones that will lead you to where you want be.

And remember—if there were no change, there would be no butterflies!

Note of an upcoming change: I will continue to post my written blogs weekly, but not necessarily my VLOGS (only as the Lord leads, which I believe to be at least once a month). I am still working to perfecting these VLOGS (video blogs), operating in excellence is key (Thanks for your patience)! #staytuned #lifelonglearner
