I am truly blessed to be surrounded by some of the most amazing individuals. #grateful They are loving, kind & truly authentic (the best of friends). I consider myself blessed & treasure each and every one of them.

Lately, a good number of my post have been centered around friendships. That is because the Lord had impressed upon my heart to began evaluating my friends (my inner-circle). As my pastor would say; you must “be selective to be effective.” #ironsharpensiron

Not everyone has earned the right to be in your life! #Selah Just stop and think about that! And if you are not careful, and just let anyone in- these individuals may end up being toxic. I made some tough decisions (end of 2017, beginning of 2018) and decided to move on from some friendships. And when I did, God brought Peace!

I heard it said once by a very wise woman, “I have the gift of goodbye!” At first, I thought how cruel, but then I saw the wisdom in it. This is what God has been been dealing with me on, getting rid of toxic people, and maintaining friendships that will “build, encourage and uplift.”

Unhealthy relationships can suck the life right out of you. It may be time for you to purge some individuals out of your life, off of your phone, and social media contact lists. They may think you’re cruel, but in the long run all will be better for it. I have found that some people only want access to your social media to spy and/or just to be noisy (or gossip). You don’t need friends like that. #GetThemOffYourPage

Healthy relationships are a must in this christian walk! “Show me your friends, and I will show you your future.” It may be time for a good purge. Let God lead you in all things including your friendships.

Here are some benefits to Healthy Friendships. #myresearch

They;

  • Increase your sense of belonging and purpose
  • Boost your happiness and reduce your stress
  • Improve your self-confidence and self-worth
  • Help you cope with traumas
  • Encourage you to change or avoid an unhealthy lifestyle

Ask yourself; Are your friendships feeding your insecurities? Constantly pointing out the wrong being done to you by others? Isolating you by speaking bad about individuals you once respected? Are they trying to control who you like, or don’t like (other friendships)? Manipulative? Are they encouraging you to stay stuck?

Just listen to how they speak about their other friends. I received some great wisdom once, “ if they bring a bone, they will take a bone!” #goldennugget That means if they are complaining and/or gossiping about their so-called friends to you, then (most likely) they are gossiping about you to those same friends (causing division).

That is not a Healthy Friendship! Believe God to add in the right ones, and remove the wrong ones out of your life. #goodstuff #GoldenNuggets #friendshipgoals #ourfriendshipsmatter
