It took just one look into each others eyes, and we knew. I was 16, and he, 17(when we first met). We were both so very young when we married. We didn’t know much (just that we loved each other). But God, and His Infinite Wisdom and Amazing Grace found and kept us, and with it came, a love for each other that was so much sweeter than when it first began. Grace is defined as “an unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration and to strengthen them, a virtue or excellence of divine origin.” One of the best decisions that we have ever made, as a couple was when we made the decision to rededicate our lives to the Lord, and to put Him First! I’m grateful because, I married my best friend.

Truth is, no relationship comes with a lifetime guarantee. But, we believe that marriages can not only survive, but thrive under His (The Lord’s) loving care, A godly marriage that stands the test of time, is possible and it starts with Relationship (Not with man but with God). #GoodMorningHolySpirit #WeNeedYourHelpToday

God designed marriage to provide: partnership, spiritual intimacy and the ability to pursue God — together, and it should mirror God’s covenant with His people. As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Ephesians 5:21-33

My husband and I will be sharing some of the spiritual truths that we have learned along the way in the next coming weeks. We are committed to continued growth in our relationship with each other and with God. We realize that this may not be one of our most popular blog post, but it comes straight from the heart. We want to inspire couples not to give up on their marriages. Marriage is God’s Idea, and His design is sheer beauty, and it leads to joy.

“A Journal of Love” is a blog which focuses on Faith & Family with an underlying theme of Cultivating the Love of God. In it I share parts of my personal faith journey, while providing uplifting material to inspire, and encourage continued personal growth… We re-launched this blog earlier this year (2015), and the process has been a huge blessing to our family (and we pray that it has been to you, and yours as well). With the Help of The Holy Spirit, we are expanding, and adding a weekly video blog. The goal is to keep Tuesdays as our “blog” release date, and we will be scheduling another day for the “video blog” release. Stay Tuned There’s More Information To Come….
