These past few weeks have been super busy, a true walk of faith! I haven’t had the opportunity to sit and blog, I mean really blog (though, I’ve been writing/studying, just not blogging).  Mommy duties, Wife duties, Business-in-the-making duties, extra rehearsals (Easter), and so forth, have been front and center in my life. My day begins very early, which makes evenings a bit of a challenge for me, but I am learning the value of a mid-day nap (smile).

Being a mother, sacrifice is part of the journey. We are often called upon to fill many roles such as; personal chef, taxi driver, bank teller (can the church say, Amen), laundry machine operator, house-keeper, head cheerleader, worship leader, personal shopper, as well as vacation planner and tour guide (just to name a few (lol). Being a mom can be very rewarding, frustrating, fulfilling and challenging all at the same time, but I wouldn’t trade not one moment of it! I love being a mom. I believe it to be a high callings (stewards of one of God’s most precious commodities)

Recently, the Holy Spirit began to impress upon me to have my youngest son (teenager) sit next to us during church. He loves going to our church (it’s his second home), but sitting next to the parents, not so much!”  This past Saturday, we were running errands all day, an appointment ran late, and off to church we went (Easter weekend). I decided this was the day to enforce the new requirement (at least one service per week/sitting with your parents). My Son – “Mom, Why?” Me- “We’ve already discussed this!” He was not a happy camper, but obeyed ! With all the hustle, and bustle of the day, my heart’s desire was to be sure he was getting fed not only physically, but spiritually as well!

By the end of the service, I saw a visible manifestation of God’s Presence! He had an Encounter with the Lord, and I was blessed to be a Witness! No Distractions (i.e Phones)!

This past weekend, the services were Powerful, Anointed, and Life-Changing! Many raised their hands and made decisions for Christ (which is what it’s all about).  Hats off to our Amazing Pastors, The Parking Lot Team, Greeters, Ushers, Prayer Partners, the entire Creative Arts team, The Children’s Ministry with a special shout-out to the Uprising Youth Team, and our wonderful youth ministers; Mark & Nikki Supak  (Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication, and love for our young people). This past weekend was truly a team effort, and God’s reward was with us. Love you all. #grateful #Ilovemychurchhomeandspiritualfamily  www.cotr.org

Scriptures References:

And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.”… Mark 10:14-15

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him. Luke 2:40
