About Marvlun:

Marvlun Reed is the author of the book Near the Cross and the recording artist of the music CD of the same title—both powerful reflections of her passion for the written word and her unwavering desire to share her faith with others. She is deeply committed to worshiping God and leading people into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her heart’s desire is to see God’s Kingdom and power made manifest, and to witness lives set free, healed, and restored as individuals diligently pursue the presence of God.

Marvlun is passionate about sharing the love of Christ through both song and the written word. A true worshiper and lover of God’s Word, her music and writing are firmly grounded in Scripture and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

She has been blessed to share her testimony and minister in song to audiences around the world. Her ministry experience includes appearances on Christian television, singing and speaking at conferences, teaching Sunday school, and leading an adult Bible class titled A Wife After God’s Own Heart.

Marvlun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago and completed her ministerial training at The International School of Ministry, graduating in 2006. She has been blogging since 2009, experiencing significant growth and favor as God has opened doors and connected her with influential individuals along the way.

She currently resides in Missouri with her husband, Terence.
