Food For Thought: Get honest with people about who you are, what you want, and how you expect to be treated. Standards only scare off people not meant for you.
My first job out of college kept me super busy (being productive), & I loved every minute of it. It was by far one of my favorite places to work. It was nothing for me to arrive early & nothing for me to stay late. The challenge was that we were a young family, and found that our schedules did not yield much room for spending “quality time” together.
We had to make some adjustments. We had to define what was most important to our young family, and then, raise our level of expectation (standards).
This is one of the reasons that I am so very passionate about this subject. #Prioritize #Energize Aside from our relationship with Christ, I believe our relationship with our family, should be a priority.
This blog focuses on “Faith” & “Family.” This week is all about finding “true” balance within our family relationship.
Here are a few “golden nuggets” to help you obtain the balance you may seek within your family relationships;
1. Create A Schedule
Families who schedule time together are able to turn toward each other more often because there are fewer distractions.
2. Build connections in small moments
Practice expressing more interest in one another.
3. Spend quality time together as a family
Be sure to plan special events and some vacation time with all family members, when possible, on a regular basis so everyone feels nurtured.
4. Let your spouse and kids know that you value them (Regularly)
Be Intentional in creating a Balanced life. Our Family Matters, and it is important that we let them know just how much. This concludes this month’s series. See you Next Month and Remember; “Your Best Days Are Always Ahead!” #BelieveIt #ReceiveIt and #WalkItOut
