Recently, I was on my way to make a deposit to our local bank. When I arrived there was a line, so, as I had done many times before, I turned to deposit cash (From our savings to our main account) into the ATM! Unlike those times before, this time something went wrong and the machine began to malfunction. The machine began trying to return the cash, but without success. The teller said, “it’s been doing that all day.” “and “You will have to file a complaint with the company,” And by the way, “It can take up to 10 business days….” Me: “oh, ok!”
For a quick second, I began to panic (not as bad as it sounds, but). I was thinking of the bills that were scheduled to be paid that weekend. And then, it happened, Peace came! I began to remember who my Father, My Heavenly was, “He’s a Good, Good Father! And just like that peace came in suddenly and completely. #HeIsOurSource
All of the bills scheduled for that weekend were paid (and on-time). You see what I have found over and over again is that; Worry produces fear, but Faith produces Results! This situation was outside of my control; Cash in hand, bills to be paid but a machine that malfunctioned. #zerovictim I chose to see myself not as a victim, but as a victor! #yourperspectiveiskey
Allow me to share some encouragement with you today!
Philippians 4:6-7 says; “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
With all that we encounter on a day to day basis: Faith & Trust wins every time! As believers; “even when we don’t understand, even when the situation is outside of our control,” We must continue to place our Faith and Trust in Him, & To Stand Upon His Word! We all face situations & circumstances that can get us over in to fear, worry or doubt….. but don’t give in to that temptation! Remember, Our God, “He is a Good, Good Father,” and that, “We Are Living In His Goodness!”
The Bible Definition of “Goodness” (From Last Week’s Sermon Notes):
- God’s Best
- God’s Abundance
- God’s Loving Kindness
- God’s Favor
- God’s Prosperity (Mind | Body | Soul)
Never stop believing in God, and His promises. The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God, and worry, that’s the opposite of Faith! We all need to be reminded here and there.
Here are a few ways to plug into to God’s Goodness (sermon notes)
- With Our Confession (What are you saying)
- With Our Hearing (What are you listening too)
- With Our Worship
When you truly believe that God is For You, you will understand that your best days are always ahead! #BelieveIt #ReceiveIt #WalkItOut
