Food For Thought: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” -Jeremiah 17:7-8 #AWiseWomanBuids
This year, I am on a quest to be a better me (It’s not about competing with anyone else, just about being the best version of myself- In Jesus Name and with His help). #AYieldedVessel
One of this year’s goals (as it relates to family); to be more “intentional” in reaching out and connecting with them. I believe that, “God is For Our Families” and that we will be held accountable for how well we serve them.
We are believers, and for us serving in Church and in our community is a priority. #HisHandsHisFeet This blog does not come to undermine that, It comes simply as a love letter to encourage those that would read it; “to be more intentional in loving our families and loving them well!”
Our former pastor (WCC) use to say something like that. I didn’t get it at first (just being real). “I get it now!” 2018 taught me some very valuable lessons; one of which, “The Importance of Balance!” #NotPerfect just #InProcess
I know that life can be a bit challenging at times (and our schedules can be jammed packed (with kids, work, extended family, friends… and don’t forget about our service to our church, and in our communities).
Side Note: Hubby and I are believing for/planning to go on a mission trip in 2020. We value reaching out (so please don’t misunderstand what I’m trying to say).
I would like to exhort you to take the moments in & enjoy your family. #MakeThemAPriority Be sure to serve, bless, inspire, and help them! #BeSaltBeLight In Their Lives as Well.. Don’t get so busy that you neglect those closest to you.
Book Recommendation: I read a book entitled, “Having a Mary Heart In A Martha World.” By Joanna Weaver “And, It truly inspired me!” I would like to recommend it to you.
In The Meantime; I encourage you to set priorities (put God first, and build from there. Watch and see how God honors your commitment. Know and Write down your Top 5! #Prioritize & #Build
“Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.” Proverbs 14:1
