Tis the Season: Well a “Ho Ho Ho,” and A Merry Christmas to You All! I am super excited about celebrating the Birth of Our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ! We are just a few days away from Christmas 2016….
Tis the Season to be Jolly, Right? How’s that working out for you? Seems to me, Tis the Season to be busy, stressed and somewhat distracted with the cares of life. Seems to me, the message of the Gospel is sometimes lost in the hustle and bustle of the day! So many are scurrying about, following after man-made traditions, leaving behind quiet reflections of a beautiful life, lived and Given for us All! His Sacrifice brought Freedom for us all. Freedom from a life of bondage to the things of this World!
The Christmas season provides the opportunity to spend precious time with our families (both our spiritual and physical ones). For some of us, Christmas may be one of the busiest times of the year. What’s amazing is that the one who brought peace in our lives and who’s birthday we celebrate, only seems to stress us out. Sounds a Bit Crazy, Right? #TisTheSeason
Jesus said to the disciples, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you…Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27 And throughout the Gospels, Jesus says to the disciples, “Peace be with you.” And yet, you look at most people’s lives during the holidays and there is anything but peace.
The Gospel, The Good News brings with it a Joy, and a hope that transcend this world! I can say this now, but it was not always the case; I am truly thankful that my Joy is not based on man’s acceptance/approval, nor is it based on circumstances, but based in the Lord! #MySource #MyEverything #IamAKingsKid #StrongInFaithAndFullOfJoy
This blog, “A Journal of Love” was revamped in January 2015. It’s purpose; to encourage and inspire you to a deeper more intimate relationship with Christ! It’s focus; Faith & Family with an underlying theme of Cultivating the Love of God. I believe that when we choose to seek Him, and to follow Him wholeheartedly, instead of the things of this world, our lives are changed and transformed!
Let me encourage you during this Christmas Season: My pastor noted on this past weekend that Joy is the Fuse (electricity) to our Faith, And that Joy is a Choice! Don’t allow the cares of this world to steal your Joy. It’s needed! We find our Joy in Him, which means Our Quiet-Time, Our Alone-Time with God is vital even more than ever. With all that the day is sure to bring, make sure you find your way to a space that yields an opportunity for you, and you alone to; “Have A Little Talk With Jesus.” Jesus seeks to bring in our lives, a peace that when the world around us seems to be in utter chaos during this Christmas Season, we can experience utter tranquility. It’s the peace Paul spoke of in Phil. 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Tis The Season!
From Our Family to Yours, Merry Christmas To You All…..
