“April Showers Bring May Flowers” (there is an interesting meaning behind those words).  Originally a poem, it is a reminder that even the most unpleasant of things, in this case the heavy rains of April, can bring about very enjoyable things indeed – in this case, an abundance of flowers in May. “April showers bring May flowers” is a lesson in patience, and one that remains valid to this day.

Patience is defined as; the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. It’s a calm endurance based on the certain knowledge that God is in control. Joyce Meyer says it this way; Patience is not simply the ability to wait, but its how we behave while we’re waiting.” Who doesn’t need a healthy dose of patience. Right? I Know I do (smile)… Patience is a valuable character trait!

All month long, we will be taking a journey through “Health and Fitness.” A year ago, I was training for my second half-marathon. Late summer, early fall, I begin experiencing symptoms (asthma | allergies), and my plans were put on hold. Fast-forward to today, where I have logged over 40 miles on the track in the last two weeks. #GettingStronger Building up my endurance, believing for a complete turn-a-round! I see that second, with the eye of Faith! #IBelieve

A Word of Encouragement: Maybe yours is not a race, but something more near and dear to your heart (restoration in your health, restoration in your finances, restoration within your family and so forth…) Whatever it maybe, never stop believing! Let patience yield its perfect fruit. #YourBestDaysAreAlwaysAhead #TheBestIsYetToCome
